Our Club

Erina Rotary Club continues to support local and international projects.

In the 2008-2009 Rotary year, under President Adrian Gale, the club will support Coast Shelter, an organisation that provides emergency accommodation and other services to homeless people on the Central Coast. We will also continue our support of the Gosford Guides and Terrigal Sea Rescue who provide us with support for the Century Challenge.

Internationally we will support the Shelter Box program and investigate new projects in East Timor. There will be two Group Study Exchange teams this Rotary year. An all wheelchair team from the USA will visit - a first for GSE. And a multi-professional team from Germany will visit in May.

It's shaping up to be another great year for the Rotary Club of Erina.

The origin of the word 'Erina' is thought to come from the Aboriginal word 'Yerin' meaning "a place where fresh water meets salt water"
